Recently, I was fortunate enough to spend a couple of days touring historic Williamsburg, Virginia. Once again I was inspired by the simple beauty of the town, it's gardens and buildings. Even the small accessory buildings are crafted with care. A walk around Georgetown and Old Town provides a similar inspiration for me. So many of these fine examples of architecture, built long ago, are designs that still endure in a meaningful way to us today. There is a basic language that carries across the years and that is our goal for todays designs as well. I believe there is great value in designing homes that are current without being trendy just for the sake of being trendy. Good design should outlast the moment.
